Where there is faith there is the presence of the guru

He is it all

He is all your impurities

He is all your corruption

There he is smiling at you through them saying & this too!

He sees

He understands total compassion

Total compassion means you are the universe

You are all form

You are the breath

You are the river

You are the void

You are the desire to be enlightened

You are enlightened

Commentary

Here is the most basic logic behind nondualism.

There is only one thing > Everyone and everything is made of the same thing > The thing finds its way into pattern > Patterns make patterns on themselves > Patterns get so complex that they start thinking themselves > The thinking pattern starts setting expectations for patterns > the thinking pattern identifies with its expectations of the patterns more than the thing all the patterns are made of > oops. > The pattern remembers it’s just a pattern > repeat.

Enlightenment is the ability to live each day with the perspective that we are just a bunch of random patterns of energy. It’s not good enough to know this; it must be felt. Identifying with yourself as a pattern of energy. Accepting that whatever you as a pattern of energy think is just an expectation of a process you can’t control. In the end, you find yourself able to see the world as “perfect.” It’s not perfect because it meets all your expectations. It’s perfect because patterns going to pattern, and no matter how weird a pattern gets, it’s just doing its thing. A pattern is going to pattern 🤷💁

Seeing yourself as a pattern is hard. However, that’s what yoga is: “a method to come into union. ” There are many forms of yoga, and most people use more than one.

Ram Dass’ primary method was Bhakti yoga. Bhakti uses love and devotion to remind oneself of the nondualistic nature of the world. For some, Bhakti practice centers around a Guru. A fully enlightened being that hangs around in form to help us non-enlightened beings through it all. Gurus are fully compassionate; they exude nonconditional love. They can do this because they don’t carry any karma or said differently they have no expectations of how it should be, or what’s right or wrong. They just see you as a pattern of energy, the same as themselves. They are not hung up on all the stuff you are. They see you as perfect. They don’t even hold the expectation that you one day become enlightened because, whether you accept it or not, you are already exactly the same thing they are.

You are already exactly what you will ever be; you can accept that, or you can let your logical mind beat you up.

Take your time; there’s no rush because you are already there.
